The Velure S5 is a 532 nm green laser we use at I Care Clinic for treating superficial vessels and pigmented spots. The 532 nm wavelength is strongly absorbed by oxyhaemoglobin (in blood vessels) and melanin (in pigment), allowing the device to act in a targeted way on these structures. It can also be used for small, benign skin lesions such as warts and fibromas. Which approach suits your skin is determined during a consultation.
What is the Velure S5?
The Velure S5 is a compact laser system from manufacturer Lasering, focused on vascular and pigmented lesions. It works with a solid-state laser (Nd:YVO₄) frequency-doubled through an LBO crystal to a wavelength of 532 nm — visible green light. Different spot sizes and pulse settings make it possible to tailor the treatment to the type and size of the lesion.
