Lipofilling, also known as autologous fat grafting, is an aesthetic treatment that uses the body's own fat to restore volume, improve contours or rejuvenate skin texture. It is a popular technique in both cosmetic and reconstructive medicine.
This makes the procedure biologically very safe and minimizes the risk of allergic reactions or infections.
The main benefits of treatment at a glance:
Fat is removed from an area with sufficient fat reserves (e.g. abdomen, thighs or flanks), usually under local anesthesia.
The removed fat is centrifuged or filtered to remove blood, oil and other impurities.
The purified fat is injected with fine cannulas into areas that need more volume or enhancement
The total duration of this treatment is 90 minutes. The whole treatment takes 3-5 hours
Do not take anti-inflammatory medications (such as ibuprofen) for 7 days before the treatment.
It is normal for the treated area to be slightly swollen and for the skin to feel tight during the first few days.
Do not wear makeup for the first 24 hours after the treatment to prevent infection and irritation.
Avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications for 14 days after the treatment to support the skin’s natural healing process.
